About

A key component to Strategic Group’s vertical integration is our in-house development capacity, which was added to the Group of Companies in 2004.

Working with management and other teams, our Development Group has overall responsibility for all new development, redevelopment and repurposing of existing buildings, design, and construction, including tenant space build-outs.

Keeping all development in house ensures that all work meets the highest standards of construction and aesthetics, while taking advantage of economies of scale and other cost savings. Having an in-house Development Group also enables management to make quick, timely decisions and capitalize on opportunities without relying on third party vendors.

New Development

Our Development Group is responsible for a number of ground up development projects, including Sundance Place in Calgary’s Sundance Business Park.

Through research, creative foresight, superior construction and first-class design, we are committed to creating new developments that will benefit their communities and provide our clients with quality space and amenities to meet their current and evolving needs.

Redevelopment

Our Development Group specializes in turning neglected buildings into premium real estate. We see potential where others see problems, and we invest in quality redevelopment and construction for the long term.

Heritage Property Development

Our portfolio includes a number of designated heritage properties.

Our Development team and designers painstakingly preserve the character and architectural detail of these heritage buildings, while ensuring that they are energy efficient and fully functional for our tenants.
