Riaz Mamdani
FOUNDER & CEO
Riaz Mamdani is the Founder and CEO of Strategic Group, which he established in 2001. An investor, financier, board member, and philanthropist, Riaz previously practiced corporate, commercial, and securities law. He has guided multiple businesses from their early stages to successful public listings with multi-billion-dollar market capitalizations. Riaz is passionate about giving back to the community, supporting the arts and charitable organizations across Alberta. He holds a BSc in Pharmacy from the University of Manitoba and a JD from the University of Calgary.
Gudrun Seredynski
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Gudrun Seredynski is the Chief Financial Officer at Strategic Group, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, planning, and tax compliance. She joined the company in 2008, bringing extensive real estate experience from her previous role managing the finance function for a Calgary-based firm. Gudrun’s expertise has been instrumental in optimizing and enhancing Strategic Group’s accounting operations. She holds a BComm from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
Tracey Steman
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Tracey Steman is the Chief Operating Officer at Strategic Group, responsible for overseeing daily operations, residential and commercial leasing, and asset management. Since joining the company in 2012, Tracey has held various executive roles, leveraging her 30+ years of industry experience in real estate operations, asset management, and financing. Prior to Strategic Group, she worked with major life insurance companies and commercial mortgage brokerage firms in lending, underwriting, and property management.
Valerie Summers
CONTROLLER
Valerie Summers serves as the Controller at Strategic Group, overseeing financial management, accounting, and payroll for the asset management and private equity investment departments. With over 30 years in real estate and property management, Valerie has extensive experience in managing property accounting teams, financial reporting, software conversions, and forensic audits. She has been with Strategic Group for over 20 years, holding various senior accounting roles.
Ryan de Boer
VICE PRESIDENT, Leasing
Ryan de Boer is the Vice President of Leasing at Strategic Group, where he leads the commercial leasing team and manages all initiatives related to proposals and transactions within the commercial portfolio. With significant experience in retail and office leasing, market research, and business development, Ryan has worked for top real estate brokerages and private firms. He completed studies in business administration at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and real estate development at the University of Calgary.
