Jenni was born in Birmingham, England and embarked on her first flight ever when she immigrated to Canada at the age of 12. Jenni attended Mount Royal University where she studied Journalism, later living in London, England completing an internship at a radio station. “Although I was a starving student living in hostels, it was a really cool experience; I met a few celebrities, visited the late great Amy Winehouse’s home and local pub and on a scarier note lived through the riots and looting that were happening at the time,” she says. Jenni enjoys watching football (soccer) with her three younger brothers and is opening a menswear store in November with her partner Phil.
How long have you worked at Strategic Group and what brought you here?
I have worked at Strategic Group for six months. I wanted to join a strong, forward-thinking Team and decided to apply when I saw the job posting.
What is your title and what does that mean?
My title is Receptionist, to me it means presenting a positive, welcoming image of Strategic Group as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. As part of the Office Operations Team, I see my role as doing all I can to make the office environment easier and comfortable for fellow Strategic Group Team Members.
What do you love most about working here?
What I love most about working here is the strong sense of teamwork – everyone steps in to help each other when needed.
Your favourite Strategic Group moment?
My favourite Strategic Group moment was all the build up to the “Let’s Eat” campaign back in June. It was wicked to see the creative ways each team came up with to raise money for the Calgary Food Bank, like bake sales, gourmet ice-cream, henna and a weekend with Randy’s Porsche and of course the teamwork building the ‘canstructions’ all to support a great cause!
