With the holiday season just around the corner, Strategic Group is doing our part to fight hunger in our communities. Throughout December, our team members took the time to volunteer at the Calgary Food Bank.

The Calgary Food Bank is the first line of emergency food support for families and individuals facing crisis. As the city’s main charitable food hub and the most accessible food bank, they have the capacity to serve families, individuals and organizations to fight hunger.
One of the pillars of our culture is to give to organizations that improve the quality of life in our community. By partnering with Calgary Food Bank, we are creating long-term food security for Calgary and surrounding communities by taking a local, integrated and dignity-based approach to addressing issues of equitable food access.
We believe it’s important to be involved in the communities where we live and work, which means creating opportunities for employees to give directly to the organizations we support. In addition to volunteering, we are running an organization-wide holiday food drive with both the Edmonton and Calgary Foodbanks. All our residential and office buildings are collecting food throughout December to be donated to the respective food banks.
The Edmonton Foodbank are stewards in the collection of surplus and donated food for effective distribution, free of charge, to people in need in our community while seeking solutions to the causes of hunger.
In Calgary and Edmonton alike, the impact of volunteering and donating reaches far beyond the immediate act of service. Together, we are turning the fight against hunger into a shared responsibility - a responsibility that goes well beyond the holiday season.
