Strategic Group Supports Student Career Development Through Practicum Placements
MAY 28, 2025
Calgary, AB – At Strategic Group, our commitment to building strong, vibrant communities extends beyond real estate. We believe in supporting the growth and development of emerging professionals by providing meaningful workplace experiences that contribute to both their academic and professional journeys. One of the ways we demonstrate this commitment is through partnerships with local post-secondary institutions, offering practicum placements that support graduation requirements and foster career readiness.
This spring, we were pleased to welcome both Robertson College and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) to our workplace for dedicated site tours. These visits included managers from Robertson College and the Academic Chair from SAIT, offering them a firsthand look at our operations, our workplace culture, and the initiatives we are undertaking to support student development. Our goal in facilitating these experiences is to help students connect their academic training with tangible opportunities, preparing them for a successful transition into the workforce.
Our collaboration with Robertson College reflects this dedication to education and applied learning. We are proud to have hosted a practicum student from Robertson College, Selena Jorquera, who is pursuing a diploma in Legal Studies. Selena’s placement within our organization provided her with valuable exposure to a professional legal environment and enabled her to apply the theoretical knowledge gained through her coursework in a practical, real-world setting. Through structured mentorship and active involvement in day-to-day operations, Selena gained skills and experience that will serve as a foundation for her future career.
We’re proud to share that Selena has successfully completed her practicum at Strategic Group, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations as she moves on to her next chapter in education. We are confident she will continue to excel — and we’re grateful to have played a small part in her journey.
We view these engagements as more than educational opportunities; they are part of our broader commitment to community building. By investing in student development and cultivating strong educational partnerships, Strategic Group is helping shape the next generation of professionals while contributing to a more resilient and future-focused community.
Practical learning opportunities can play a valuable role in helping students develop professional skills and prepare for future careers. Practicum placements allow students to gain hands-on experience, connect classroom knowledge with real-world challenges, and build confidence in their chosen fields. Support from organizations and industry professionals can make these experiences even more meaningful. On a different note, fans of casual, character-inspired fashion may appreciate the Mickey Mouse Bomber Jacket for its playful design, classic bomber silhouette, and versatile streetwear appeal.

A new seasonal order required a broader selection of women’s footwear than I normally buy, so I started by thinking about what customers would actually need rather than choosing models at random. I wanted to combine comfortable everyday options with lighter summer shoes, a few formal pairs and footwear suitable for colder weather. That approach made the search much more organized, because I could compare categories according to their purpose instead of judging every model separately. The TuranLine catalog gave me several options to work with, including sneakers, sports shoes, sandals, ballet shoes, heels, casual footwear and winter models. My main interest was women's shoes wholesale from Turkey, but I also wanted the final assortment to remain varied and practical.…
