Strategic Group is once again a sponsor of one of Canada’s leading real estate conferences – the Calgary Real Estate Forum.
On October 26, the city’s real estate experts gather at the Telus Convention Centre for an information-packed day focusing on the challenges facing: asset managers, brokers, corporate real estate executives, developers, investors, and other professionals active in the ownership, management, leasing, financing, and marketing of commercial, industrial, investment, and residential real estate.
Strategic Group’s Vice President, Leasing, Laurel Edwards, will be sharing her insight in Session A2: What’s old is new again where: how adaptive re-use can change the face of real estate. With vacancy rates exceeding 25%, the city may begin to see a trend towards adaptive re-use for this underutilized stock including the transitioning of former office towers into residential properties.
COO Randy Ferguson will also be participating in a keynote presentation – ‘A conversation with Mayor Naheed Nenshi’. Mayor Naheed Nenshi will share his thoughts on some of the game-changing opportunities and challenges ahead of Calgary — one of Canada’s fastest growing, and youngest cities. Discussion among other things includes Amazon HQ2, how the Green Line will transform a part of Calgary, the downtown office market, and a possible Olympic bid.
