Strategic Group is pleased to welcome new Japanese restaurant Meshi to Strategic Centre located at 630 8 Avenue SW. “Meshi” which means “cooked rice” in Japanese is a unique, local and family –owned and operated establishment slated to open in the coming weeks. Tenants of the building and the city’s downtown businesses nearby are looking forward to Meshi opening its doors.
Owner Jungwoo Kim previously leased restaurant space in Strategic Group’s Stephenson building when he received news about the redevelopment plans for the building (Stephenson has been renamed Cube and will feature 65 residential units when completed in early 2019). “We were worried when we received the news for the new plans for Stephenson, and Strategic Group was prepared with a solution for us” says Kim. Strategic Centre had 1,200 square feet available for lease which was perfect and according to Kim, “a great location based on the walking traffic during the work week. We will be the only restaurant within a 2-3 block radius offering the finest sushi in Calgary!”
There is no doubt Japanese food fans in the area will be delighted when Meshi opens its doors. “We offer catering, sushi pick-up service for on-the-go customers and sit-down dining experiences that the Calgary community will enjoy. Sushi is more than just good food; it is a form of art” says Kim.
